>70%

More than 70% of the US population is living with overweight or obesity as a result of metabolic dysfunction and decline.

Leading Risk Factor

Obesity is the number one risk factor in the cardiometabolic diseases that are the leading causes of death worldwide, such as heart disease and diabetes.

$170B

Chronic diseases linked to healthy weight and metabolism cost the US healthcare system over $170B per year.

While a healthy diet and exercise can support our metabolism, every individual will experience metabolic decline as they age, and that decline is accelerated in people with obesity.

The key pathways in metabolic health

Changes in AMPK and mTORC1 drive metabolic decline.

The AMPK Network is the master control system for cellular energy levels, declining universally with age and further in people with obesity. Cambrian's drug candidate ATX-304 activates the AMPK Network to increase metabolic rate.

mTORC1 is the key nutrient sensor in the cell but becomes overactivated with age and drives metabolic decline. Cambrian has created the first isoform-specific compounds that can safely recalibrate mTORC1 signaling back to its healthy, youthful baseline.
